Belarus: freedom march – photo exhibition

European Parliament Liaison Office in Poland

Every year, in December, the European Parliament awards the Sakharov Prize. This is a reward for contributing to the protection of human rights and democracy. In 2020, the winners of the award were citizens of Belarus. Lemon Spot supported the European Parliament Liaison Office in Poland in organizing a photo exhibition at the Kordegarda gallery dedicated to the latest events in Belarus.
The aim of the project was to honor Belarusians for their fight for freedom and disseminating knowledge about the situation in Belarus. The authors of the photos are: Dasha Buryakina, Nadzeya Buzhan, Andrei Liankevich, Alesia Pcholka, Youliya Shablouskaya, Aliksandr Vasiukovich.

As the exhibition was very popular, its modified version was posted on the Virturama.pl portal.

The project was carried out on behalf of and in cooperation with BJ Studio agency

Scope of services:

Providing the exhibition content curator, who chose the authors of the photos, proposed a set of works by individual authors, developed the concept of the exhibition at the Kordegarda gallery
Purchase of photos copyrights
Correction of picture descriptions in the Polish version and providing a native speaker to correct subtitles in the English version
Production of the exhibition in consultation with the exhibition’s curator: printing of photos in agreed formats; providing the necessary setting system; assembly and disassembly of the gallery exhibition
Schedule and promotional campaign materials development
Preparation of the press release
Branding of the outside and inside exhibition space
Advertising in the subway and advertising on an LCD screen in the Warsaw’s center
Printing of posters promoting the exhibition
Providing professional photo reportage
Event coordination (contact with the photos’ authors, with the Kordegarda allery, with the exhibition’s curator)
Event logistics – organization and supervision of the production and technical teams’ work
